To celebrate Chinese New Year the right way, check out the celebrations going on at the Eldorado Casino. The resort always goes all out to celebrate this Asian holiday, and this year is no exception. They are offering special room rates, a traditional Chinese feast complete with time-honored dishes, and Asian entertainment, as well. While many other resorts don't offer up much Chinese New Year specials, the Eldorado is usually the Reno headquarters for celebrating in style.
Special Room Rates
The Eldorado is offering very special lodging packages especially for Chinese New Year. They include standard rooms along with two Chinese dinner buffets for only $48.88 per night for Monday-Thursday (Jan 26-29) reservations, and only $108.88 per night on fjor Friday and Saturday (Jan 30 & 31) reservations. You can call 800-879-8879 to book reservations, and the packages are only available January 26-31.
Chinese Dining Specials
The Buffet, the Eldorado's new, much remodeled restaurant, is serving a special Chinese New Year dinner January 26-31. The menu will change nightly, and will include everything form roast suckling pig to Peking pork chops, fried fish, pot stickers, spring rolls, and many more dining options. If not included in the room rate special price, prices for the buffet are $15.99 for adults, $10.99 for Gold Members & above and $7.99 for children ages 4-10 on Monday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, prices are $20.99 for adults, $15.99 for Gold Members & Above and $9.99 for children ages 4-10. Guests will also get free Li Shee, Lucky Money with their dinner. Entertainment
During dinner in The Buffet, Li Qi-Chao, Master of Chinese Instruments will entertain every night beginning at 4 pm.
Another package, the Vietnamese Concert Package is available for only $85. Guests can book a standard room at the Eldorado and receive two concert tickets to see Vietnamese artists Nhu Quynh, Y Lan, Trish Thuy Trang, The Son, and Nguyen Hung. The concert is scheduled on February 15 at 8 p.m. in the Silver Legacy Resort Casino’s Grande Exposition Hall, located next door to the Eldorado. Call 800-648-5966 to book this entertainment package.
Another New Year show will take place on Feb. 11 in the downtown City Center Pavilion. Celebrate with a concert by Hong Kong celebrities Mimi Choo and Dragon Lee starring in “Three Ladies and One Guy,” also featuring stars Lau Yuk Chui and Chen Yin Hang.
