Las Vegas, Nevada offers several cheap shows and free attractions. Find free things to do in Las Vegas for everyone like cheap attractions and free Las Vegas shows.

Las Vegas is unique in that it can be either the cheapest vacation ever, or the most expensive. Learn where to look to find free things to do in Las Vegas, cheap attractions and Las Vegas shows at a discount.

Cheap Things to do in Las Vegas

Las Vegas hotel swimming pools are some of the most amazing in the world, with shark tanks, koi ponds, mature tropical foliage, wave pools, sandy beaches, waterslides, waterfalls, swim-up bars and even a lazy river to float. When you choose your hotel, be sure to check out the pool. A good pool can turn a Las Vegas vacation into a sun-kissed, relaxing event, rather than a seedy, smoky weekend of gambling and drinking.

Free Las Vegas Shows on the Strip

Stroll down the Las Vegas strip after dark and watch the free outdoor shows at the Mirage, the Bellagio and Treasure Island, among others. At the Bellagio, music, lights and water fountains are choreographed together, to create a dancing water show every 15 minutes. At Treasure Island, a sexy pirate show features scantily clad male and female dancers singing and dancing in pirate's cove every 90 minutes. Every hour, on the hour after dark at the Mirage, the volcano erupts to the beat of tribal drums, spewing flaming lava bombs into the water fountain, for a dramatic, must-see free Las Vegas show.

Free Las Vegas Shows Indoors

Even after dark it can be over a hundred degrees in Las Vegas, so head inside for free shows at major hotels. Circus Circus has live circus acts every half hour from 11:00 a.m. To midnight every day. The Fashion Show Mall has fashion shows and the Hawaiian Marketplace has free tropical bird shows at 1 and 3 p.m. From Friday to Sunday. Three times a day, the Silverton Hotel Mermaid Aquarium has free fish feeding shows, too.

Cheap Food in Las Vegas

Fancy hotel restaurants can cost a fortune but many visitors to las Vegas eat and drink for free. Casino servers routinely comp meals and drinks for gamblers. For non-gambling guests, the food courts at Fashion Show Mall, New York, New York, the Venetian, the Monte Carlo and the Riviera Mardi Gras are an inexpensive alternative. Additionally, the world-famous Peppermill, next door to the Riviera, and Pink's Hot Dogs at Planet Hollywood are also cheap restaurants in Las Vegas. Both are open 24 hours a day.

Any visitor can walk into Las Vegas' strip hotels to see a plethora of activities, displays and attractions that are available for free or for cheap. Finding free things to do in Las Vegas can help travelers afford a higher gambling budget or at least break even.
