From shows to exhibits and theme park fun, there are still many fun family activities in Las Vegas.

Amongst the drinking, gambling and world of showgirls, there are still many kid friendly things to do in Las Vegas. Although at one time, Las Vegas tried to turn itself into a family destination, it has since turned back to trying to entice adults only. However, there is still plenty of fun things for kids. Each of the following is located on the Las Vegas Strip.

Tournament Of Kings At The Excalibur In Las Vegas

Step back into time to the days of Merlin, jousting knights and dancing maidens. The Tournament of Kings, located at the Excalibur Hotel and Casino at the four corners of the Las Vegas Strip, offers a fun family night of dinner and entertainment.

The arena is broken up into several sections and each section roots for their own knight. Kids love cheering their knight on while booing the others. The jousting match is entertaining as the rest of the show. Dinner includes a roasted game hen and what some guests call the best tomato soup ever.

Another reason kids love this dinner show so much is that there are no utensils. Everyone eats with their hands!. The show runs twice nightly at 6:00 and 8:30 pm. Tickets are $61.18. However, check with the hotel directly or visit their website as days and ticket prices can change.

Adventuredome at Circus Circus In Las Vegas

Adventuredome is an indoor amusement park located on five acres at Circus Circus. Rides and attractions include coasters, bumper cars, a swinging pirate ship along with gentle rides such as a carousel, Frog Hopper, and a train ride for younger guests.

SpongeBob Squarepants and Marvin the Martian are both 4D attractions that kids enjoy. In addition, there's fun for the whole family with Lazer Blast, a lazer tag game. Tickets for each ride or attraction range from $4.00-$7:00. A better value is to buy all day passes which cost $24.95 for guests 48 inches and taller and $14.95 for guests under 48 inches. Adventuredome is open everyday.

Siegfried & Roy's Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat

Although no longer performing, Siegfried and Roy's love for animals lives on at their Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage Hotel and Casino. Come visit tigers, lions, panthers and leopards in a peaceful, tropical setting. Be sure not to miss the beautiful white lions and white tigers.

At the Dolphin Habitat, visitors can enjoy bottlenose dolphins. For an additional fee, kids 13 and up can become a dolphin trainer for the day. Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden & Dolphin Habitat is open daily. Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $9:00 for kids 4-12. Children 3 and under are free.

Auto Collection At The Imperial Palace On the Las Vegas Strip

Located on the fifth level of the self-parking lot is Imperial Palace's Auto Collection. Antique cars, classic cars, cool sports cars, and even cars from movies are on display. Almost all of the cars here are for sale so the displays are always changing.

The exhibit is open daily from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. Although there is an admission charge, it's pretty easy to get free tickets. Check out the local publications for coupons or oftentimes there are people giving away free tickets in front of the casino.

Rain Forest Cafe At The MGM Hotel And Casino

For a fun dining experience, visit the Rain Forest Cafe located at the MGM Hotel and Casino. The setting is like being in a tropical rain forest where the animals come alive. Menu items range from pasta and pizza, to chicken, steaks and seafood. There's also a kids menu for children 10 and under.

Be sure to also check out the 10,000 gallon aquarium. The Rain Forest Cafe is open Sunday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. - midnight. If possible, make a reservation in advance as this is a very popular restaurant.

The above is only a sampling of fun things to do in Las Vegas with kids. Many hotels have arcades, while free circus acts can be seen at Circus Circus Hotel and Casino. In addition, consider taking the kids down the Las Vegas Strip at night to enjoy all of the wonderful lights. All in all there is a wealth of things for kids to do in Las Vegas.
