Traveling to Las Vegas to see Cirque du Soleil's theatrical extravaganza KÀ will not disappoint.

In true Cirque du Soleil fashion, the moment guests walk towards the theater they start being taken in by the show. The doorman, not in a stiff suit, but in full KÀ costume takes the tickets and invites patrons into the world of . The senses immediately take over by smelling the mist of fog, while the ears ring from the sound of music being played by live musicians dressed in full costume playing in a stage above the lobby. Meanwhile, special KÀ themed drinks and refreshment are available to enhance the evening.

As guests are escorted to their seats, they can look around at the massive 1,950-seat arena and realize this is no ordinary stage. It spans the entire width of the theater from entryway to entryway on either side, going well beyond where one would typically expect the stage to end. Cast members in character and costume from the show are already on this massive stage, further drawing the visitor into their world.

The cast is compiled of over 80 artists from places like France, Russia, China, Canada, Brazil and the United States for a spectacular production that takes place on a 360-degree rotating stage. KÀ is the story of imperial twins separated after an attack is made on their family. The story of the show is about the journey that is in store for them as they survive alone while spearman and archers hunt them persistently. The twins each eventually find love and reunite together.

Acrobatic Stunts in KÀ

With any Cirque show, one expects that there will be amazing aerial feats and stunning acrobatics, but with KÀ it is done with modern technology and theatrical flair. The rotating stages have scenes that turn into an imperial ship, a beach scene with “sand” that flows off the stage like a waterfall or a stage of fiery arrows “shot” during and attack that the cast choreograph their movements around. Over 100 live arrows are shot in the air for each show and the cast was trained in correct procedures on how to accomplish this.

When the journey with KÀ is complete, just one word is left lingering in the mind – “Awesome.”

KÀ has a permanent home in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino on the Strip and offers several dinner packages in combination with the purchase of tickets.
