Las Vegas, Nevada is one of the world’s most popular destination vacation spots. While Las Vegas has transformed its image in recent years to entice more families, three properties cater to the more mature traveler who will settle for nothing but the best.
The oldest of the three properties detailed here, the Bellagio was the first billion dollar casino resort to be built in Las Vegas. The resort has been the recipient of the AAA Five Diamond Award in 2006, 2007 and 2008. As visitors step into the lobby of the Bellagio, their eyes are drawn upward where the ceiling is covered with over 2,000 hand blown glass flowers.
One of the most popular features of the resort is the Bellagio Poker Room. Known across the poker world as the home of the ‘big game’, poker greats Doyle Brunson, Phil Ivey and Barry Greenstein can be found playing at the Bellagio on a regular basis.
The Palazzo hotel’s grand opening was held on January 17, 2008 and it was the first hotel to be opened on the Las Vegas Strip in nearly three years. Located adjacent to the famed Venetian Resort, “The Palazzo features modern European ambience and design reminiscent of Italian affluent living with a unique combination of premium amenities – including all-suite accommodations, celebrity chef restaurants, and an upscale retail offering.”
Las Vegas is known to be one of the best shopping locales in the world, with the opening of The Palazzo the Vegas shopping experience has been taken to a new level. The focal point of The Shoppes at The Palazzo is the 85,000 square foot Barneys New York. Other elite retailers include Van Cleef & Arpels, Diane von Furstenberg and Christian Louboutin.
The Wynn Las Vegas is the world’s only AAA Five Diamond and Mobile Five Star Casino Resort. Steve Wynn, one of Las Vegas’ most well-respected developers, built his namesake hotel for $2.7 billion. The resort, which opened in April of 2005, has garnered international attention for its fantastic restaurants, excellent gaming opportunities and hot night life. As a result, expansion has already started on a second tower.
The Encore Suites, being built adjacent to the current Wynn Las Vegas property, is scheduled to open in December of 2008. According to a press release by Wynn Resorts, “The Encore Suites resort complements Wynn's repertoire of accommodations, culinary offerings and exciting leisure activities to include five new signature restaurants, 11 retail outlets, seven cozy bars and lounges, an ultra-chic nightclub and a luxurious spa and salon.”
If you’re looking for the best in luxurious amenities, the Bellagio, The Palazzo and the Wynn Las Vegas casino resorts will exceed even your wildest expectations.
