Mystere was the first Cirque du Soleil show to open on the Las Vegas Strip. One can enjoy the show with special prices for children, military, students and seniors.
Cirque du Soleil has six shows playing on the Las Vegas Strip, including KA and Zumanity, but the one that set that pattern for the rest was Mystere. It’s a classic Cirque show in that it has the theme of going to the circus. Getting that circus feel for an entire family is now easier thanks to ticket specials for various groups. Mystere Ticket SpecialsParents who want to take their children to see Mystere can get tickets at half off for kids under 12. Another group that can obtain tickets at 50 percent off is military personnel. In addition, students can get tickets for 35 percent off and seniors can get tickets for 25 percent off. Cirque du Soleil’s Big TopCirque du Soleil has 20 shows playing throughout the world, but it all began with a group of circus street performers in Montreal in 1984. The theme of the circus continues with Mystere. The Cirque du Soleil theatre at Treasure Island looks like the inside of a big top tent surrounding a stage measuring 120-by-70 feet that is controlled by four independent moving lifts. The show is a parade of clowns and acrobats, with 75 performers from 19 different countries pulling off amazing feats of physical skill as well as getting the audience to laugh. Mystere Acrobats and ClownsWhile acrobats in a traditional circus swing on trapezes above a net, Mystere takes has them flying through the air while attached to bungee chords, holding on to an aerial cube, or climbing on Chinese poles. All are presented with dramatic touches, flamboyant costumes and beautiful music that draws the audience in. For example, the Chinese pole acrobats are the “Double Faces” who wear masks that reveal a face regardless of which way they turn. There’s also the “Red Bird,” who with his combination of great leaps and spectacular costume fills the part. Comedy also plays a role in Mystere. One of the favorite characters for kids of all ages is a very large man who plays a very big baby. He gets the audience laughing while he coos at them. Another comic favorite is Brian Le Petit, who often wanders amongst the audience, involving them in his merriment. There's also Moha-Samedi, the narrator who has a lot to say, but can’t seem to find anyone who will listen. Mystere - Cirque du Soleil Treasure Island Las Vegas 3300 S. Las Vegas Blvd. Las Vegas, NV 89109 702-894-7111 Cirque du Soleil’s Mystere is a great experience for kids of all ages, and all of them can attend thanks to the ticket specials available for this spectacular show.
