Reno, Nevada, in the Sierra Nevadas, is a popular vacation destination. Pet friendly hotels allow you to bring your pet on vacation.

Reno, Nevada calls itself the "Biggest Little City in the World". The small city is best known for casino gambling and the small strip lit up by neon lights Reno's location in the Sierra Nevadas draws visitors to enjoy the beauty of the natural surroundings. Sports enthusiasts flock to the area in the winter for the area skiing.

The gambling casinos are probably the biggest draw for visitors to Reno, NV, but there are other attractions. The most popular attractions are the Fleischmann Planetarium and Science Center and the National Automobile Museum. The National Automobile Museum, otherwise known as The Harrah Collection, is a collection of vintage cars displayed on period street scenes. the museum displays decades of automotive history.

  • Holiday Inn Downtown. Located in the heart of downtown Reno, less than a mile from the gaming strip. Hotel features a health and fitness center, heated outdoor swimming pool, restaurant and a lounge. Pets allowed with $20 per night pet fee. 775-786-5151.
  • LaQuinta Inn Reno Airport. Located with walking distance to the Reno-Tahoe International Airport and just minutes from the famous Reno arch. Pets welcome. 775-348-6100.
  • Residence Inn by Marriott. Residence Inn is located 20 minutes from downtown Reno one way and 40 minutes from Lake Tahoe the other way. Non-smoking hotel is convenient to the Reno airport. Free hot breakfast buffet and free light dinner at the nightly social house. Accommodations have separate living area and fully equipped kitchen. Pets welcome. 775-853-8800.
  • Rodeway Inn and Spa. Amenities include indoor jacuzzi, sauna, outdoor heated pool. Pet friendly $10 per night. 775-786-2500.
